About us

Distortion Society was founded in 2023 by husband-and-wife duo Bradley Silver (a tattoo artist) and Michelle Silver (a painter). Merging eclectic styles of tattooing and contemporary art exhibitions, DS blurs the lines between body art and fine art and questions the preconceived notions of a tattoo studio or art gallery.

The exhibition space at the front features bimonthly presentations of national and international artist's work; the tattoo studio features accomplished resident and guest tattooers working in a range of unique styles.

MISSION + ETHICS

Distortion Society is an inclusive environment that embraces all bodies. We do not exclude based on ability, sexuality, gender, identity, religion, race, or body type. We tattoo all skin colors. We celebrate art made by diverse artists. We work to uplift and engage with our community.

FAQs

  • Nope, sorry! Just tattoos and art.

  • Yes we do! As long as the tattoo artist who is working that day has availability. Please stop in - our desk personnel can answer your questions and often times the artist can take a break to discuss your idea even if they are tattooing at the time of your arrival.

  • Yes they are! Sometimes tattoo appointments happen outside of our normal business hours. As long a you have an appointment, you're good to go!

  • Sure can! We always ask at the beginning whether or not you would like to be enclosed by a privacy screen(s) so should you need privacy, we can happily accommodate.

  • All tattoo, consultation and artwork deposits are non-refundable. The price paid for your tattoo appointment deposit will come out of the price for your last day of tattooing. For instance, if your tattoo takes 3 sessions, on the third session, the deposit you paid will be deducted from the price you pay that day.
